Took the hour drive from freehold, called in my order as soon as they opened. As you walk in you are welcomed to the old school feel, and can see the ovens. The place was busy which was expected, I got the half plain half pepperoni pie. Dave Portnoy said 9.4 and i'd agree and even the pepperoni one may be even better. Some of the best pizza i've ever had, so fresh and delicious. Definitely worth the drive!

My boyfriend and I just tried this well known New Jersey pizza spot, and it definitely is so good. The crust was crispy thin perfection, and held up without wilting. The cheese pizza? Absolute fire, this is now my new favorite thin slice pizza. We also tried the Broccoli Rabe and Sausage Pizza which was also very good but the sourness of the rabe (more than usual) made the cheese pizza the winner of the night! I am definitely coming back to try the meatball pizza and other flavors. Amazing thin crispy crust pizza at an affordable price. Will be coming back soon! HEADS UP - You do need to call HOURS before you intend to want the pizza, they only take so many orders a day. If you get a busy line, keep calling, they will answer and let you know if you can place an order or if they are out for the day.

Make the drive down from Morristown, based on Dave Portnay's review, like probably a million other people have done. I called at 4 pm and managed to score a large meatball pie for 7:45 pm. Pizza came out the oven and was handed to me at exactly 7:45 so they have their timing down to an art. Walked down to a park to eat and burnt the crap out of my mouth since I couldn't wait and it was screaming hot. Not the prettiest pizza, and I understand why people would say it looks burnt, but it tastes anything but burnt. Zero flop, right amount of crispiness, and the sauce was excellent and good amount of cheese and meatballs. If I lived anywhere within 4 hours drive of here, I'd be there at least once a month.

Its good pizza (not the best that I've had), but its not worth the hype or the hassle of getting a pizza. Prices are very reasonable, so I'll give it a four. Wanted to make a dinner reservation and started calling around 11:30. Wasn't able to get through, so tried again after the lunch rush (1ish), and got through first time. Made an early reservation at 530... showed up then and the pizza was already ready. Nice not to have to wait, because other parties that showed up at the same time were sitting around a while. I did enjoy the pizza, especially the cheese and the pepperoni hot honey. The base was way too firm for my liking (kind of like eating hard bread). Large pizzas are big... 2 pizzas can feed 5 people (we ordered 4 pizzas for 6, and ended up taking home over a whole pizza). There is some street parking available. Will give it another shot if I'm in the area, but not going in with super high expectations. P.s. leftovers were great the following day after blasting in the oven.

Cute pizza parlor on a nice, quiet street. Loved how thin and crispy the pizza was and they used the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. We went in thinking we'd have leftovers for the night.. Nope! Too good. Service was amazing and the employee who was at the register was super accommodating and we appreciate her help and understanding. Thank you from San Diego!

9.4??? Come on Dave, this is 100% a solid 9.6!!! Get it right brother!!! We stopped by recently on the way to our hotel from the airport. In fact we planned the entire day around this pizza. We walked in and ordered a large with just cheese and she said the wait was 45-55 minutes which we didn't mind because of all the hype. So we went over to the liquor store and QuickChek to grab some things while we waited. So as time passed we walked in to get the pie and sat outside on the tables to eat it. When you open the box the first thing you see is the light of the pizza gods. Saying, Welcome to pizza heaven! Wow, I thought! If this pizza tastes as good as it looked I'm going to pass out of happiness. So one bite, everyone knows the rules and I crush my first piece. Daaayum!!! Yep, it's better than expected. We added some crushed red pepper flakes, grated parm, and garlic powder. Heavenly!!! In fact it's so good I only ate two pieces because I wanted to appreciate it more later on too. The employees here are nice even though they are bombarded non-stop, they were still kind and helpful and I appreciate that a lot! We initially wanted to sit inside, but all the tables were taken except the ones that had a reservation sign on them. It's old school inside, small, and quaint. Loved it! I am glad we stopped by because I've been wanting to try this pizza for over two years now. Thanks for the great service and the great pie. We will see you the next time we are in town. Enjoy :)

*DeLucia's was featured on Dave Portnoy's one bite pizza review where he rated them a 9.4* My husband & I had lunch in Jersey, and this place was about 30 minutes away, so we decided to stop by for some pizza before heading home. I tried calling them to place my order at 1:30, but the phone line was busy. 15 minutes & 72 redials later, I finally got through. I got 2 pies- a plain cheese and a half sausage & half pepperoni with Mike's hot honey. They quoted me "about an hour" wait, so we just walked around Bridgewater Commons (5 minutes away) to waste 45-50 min. The pizza location is in a residential setting with almost no parking available. There are 8 tables in the restaurant for dining in, but most ppl usually do takeout- the pile of pizza boxes waiting to be picked up is insane. We tried it all in the car, and the pepperoni with hot honey was our favorite out of the 3- it was really good- I liked it better than the cheese, & sausage. However, they were all extra cheesy, thin & had a crispy crust and a sweet taste. The price was cheap, taste was above average and the wait was well worth it. I still think JofBS in NYC & Sally's in New Haven, CT are the best, but if you don't want to make the drive, this is a good option as well. Call ahead, expect to wait a while, and pay cash if you can to avoid the credit card fee :)

Expectations and high and this places delivers (just don't expect them to deliver your pizza lol) Trying to call is pretty pointless unless you get very lucky. I tried calling literally 80+ X when it first opened. Go down there and order in person even if it's 2-3 hour wait it's worth it but I don't live too far. Place is small and old school inside, not renovated but you're not coming for comfy seats or views anyway. Pizza is definitely the best I've ever had and I love exploring new pizza place. The Pepperoni and hot honey just hit different and had me dreaming of more. Been twice this week and definitely will be coming back regularly. Must try!
